In all situations where great or changing distances have to be bridged and very high electrostatic charges have to be dissipated, the discharging bar IONSTAR RX3 shows its true strenghts.

The intelligent sensors of the IONSTAR RX3 continuously monitor the distance and the charge level of the object to be discharged and automatically adapt the power output to the actual conditions. The system has outstanding efficiency for the removal of electrostatic charges from winding stations.

Long range – intelligent – flexible The IIONSTAR RX3 optimizes your production process – whether it's winding or unwinding film webs, in the reel slitter or many other demanding applications. The powerful high voltage generator is integrated in the bar and is capable to neutralize even high charges in almost no time, allowing previously unheard of discharging ranges. No additional air support is needed. Non-wearing emission tips, robust and an easy-to-clean design ensure that only a minimum of maintenance is needed. An aluminum profile on the rear with sliding nuts makes for easy assembly, even in difficult installation situations.

Effective discharging at highest machine speeds
The discharging bar R50/R51A generates a much higher active discharging power than previous technologies: the insulated array of ground conductors enhances the electric field at the active tips and so improves the production and speed of charge carriers, providing substantially more positive ions and free negative electrons than conventional bars. Simultaneously, the bars have a high passive discharging performance. The decoupled emission tips guarantee excellent discharging efficiency and make the bars absolutely short-circuit- and shock-proof.

Both bar designs are available in active lengths of up to 3,915 mm. They are operated with 5 kV alternating current at 50 – 60Hz.

A universal bar with minimal dimensions for supply voltages up to 15kV. It is used to charge surfaces for blocking and tacking purposes.

The EM03 Electric Field Meter is a small, compact unit with digital display for measuring static charges directly in Volts. The mode of function of the instrument is based on the influence principle.

When measuring static charges, the distance between the instrument and the object is selectable between 1 and 20 cm.

The integrated micro-computer automatically converts the measured fieldstrength over the pre-selected measuring distance (distance between measured object and measuring electrode) into charges in Volts.

Electric Field Meter EM03

The electric field meter is a parametric amplifier. The charges influenced by the electrical field generate an alternating current proportional to the field strength. This alternating current is measured via a selective amplifier without drawing time-averaged energy from the electrical field. No radioactive substances are used in the instrument.

The instrument is encased in an antistatic plastic housing with membrane front plate.

The star-shaped influence measuring electrode is built into an aluminium front plate. A modulation wind mill-type wheel of the same star shape, connected to frame, rotates a short distance ahead of the electrode. A ring electrode system enclosing the influence electrode serves as mechanical protection.
