• Promote the Automotive Industry Transformation and Join Hands to Create a Low-Carbon Future

  TTVMA serves as a big family for the automotive industry and a crucial liaison between the industry and the government. During my 3-year term as the Chairman in the 26th, the world confronted numerous challenges brought by the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite facing adverse market conditions, I dedicated my efforts to propel the industry towards green and low-carbon transformation, leading the development of domestic vehicle industry.

  In 2021, I successfully applied for the continuation of excise tax cuts for replacing old vehicles with new ones, which helped to stablize the sales of domestic automotive and motorcycle markets. Without your full support and cooperation these achievements would not have been possible . I wish to express my heart-felt gratitude to the related units of government and member manufacturers for their recognition, allowing me to have the opportunity to continue serving everyone in the coming three years.

  Climate change has become an increasingly critical issue, and achieving net-zero carbon emissions has become a global trend. Most of world countries have announced time schedules to achieve net-zero carbon emissions as well as the Taiwan government's target of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, inclusive of the "industrial transformation" among the four major strategies and the "electrification and decarbonization of transportation" in the twelve key strategies, closely related with the vehicle industry.

  To address climate changes, countries are implementing more stringent environmental regulations, resulting in significant changes in the vehicle industry. Rapid developments in energy efficiency improvement and carbon emission reduction technologies have taken place, such as the adoption of lightweight materials, intelligent systems, and electrification. With the integration of electronic communication, information technology, and AI, future vehicles will become more intelligent. Traditional internal combustion engines will also face the pressure of market transformation. Many domestic products of vehicle rely on exports. How to meet the demand of net-zero carbon emissions will be an essential challenge for exporting manufacturers. Let's join hands and work together:

  • Strengthen collaboration and communication within the industry to adapt to the trends in the future smart electric vehicle industry.
  • Continuously support the government's participation in regional or bilateral free trade agreements to assist member companies in expanding the overseas markets.
  • Advance research and application of vehicle technologies, actively aligning with government policies for promotion to achieve the goal of net-zero emissions transportation.

  TTVMA will continue to collaborate with the government in promoting industry development strategies. We are confident in facing the world’s critical challenges and will be acting as a bridge between the industry and the government, Under the mutual cooperation, we will create a healthy environment for the development of whole vehicle industry and will assist the industry in upgrading and transforming and seizing more business opportunities, reaching the target of low-carbon substantial development. Let the vehicle industry play an even more significant role in Taiwan.
