Mr. Ming-chung Tsai said that Taiwan’s Petrochemical Industry has a complete industry chain of upstream, midstream and downstream, which receives wide international recognition. Petrochemical, plastic and rubber industries account for a third of the GDP in Taiwan. 2017 PLASCOM TAIWAN is held with the goal of boosting Taiwan’s economic growth with support from all exhibitors in the related industries, the Plastics Industry Development Center as well as the Kaohsiung City Government. During the press conference, there were two major Taiwanese manufacturers invited to give presentations on industry trends and their own products. Mr. Benjamin Lee began his presentation by playing a short video introducing a FCS’s Injection Molding Machine that is designed to be both beautiful and intelligent. The streamlined appearance of the FCS’s Injection Molding Machines derives from the shape of speedboats. Lee explained that through the adoption of “smart manufacturing with automatic machine perception,” machines not only learn to recognize defective products but also enhance product yield rates and efficiency. These machines also adopt smart management for smart factory and connect to data clouds, allowing supervisors to check on the latest status of the machines even while they are not on the scene. Ms. Ji-fei Shih from the AD Group explained that the company would like to celebrate its 30th anniversary with 2017 PLASCOM TAIWAN. AD Group is scheduled to launch its new products in new application fields at the exhibition in order to demonstrate its determination to advance with the times. AD Group also brought its carbon fiber road bicycle and a model aircraft here today for display.
The first PLASCOM TAIWAN will be held from September 13th to 16th at the South Hall of Kaohsiung Exhibition Center (KEC). There will be 415 booths used by 155 exhibitors participating in this event. Exhibitors also includes some major Taiwanese manufacturers from upstream to downstream like the CPC Corporation, the USI Corporation, the CHIMEI Group, the Formosa Plastics Group, the FCS Group and the AD Group and international companies such as Wittmann Battenfeld from Austria, KCMG Composites from Ireland, KUNDERT AG and Leister Technologies AG from Switzerland, Shimadzu Corporation and SHINSO from Japan and CS Unitel Technology from Thailand. 2017 PLASCOM TAIWAN is expected to attract over 4,000 international and local Taiwanese buyers. This exhibition combines a complete petrochemical industry chain with its upstream industry of petroleum refineries, midstream industry of raw materials like plastic, rubber and composite materials and its downstream industry of end products and machinery. All the products on display are so diverse that they can certainly meet the different needs of all buyers. An Innovative Composites Products Section is also planned in the exhibition.
During the exhibition there will be one-on-one purchase meetings, product launch presentations, Turkey and India market briefings to help manufacturers grasp the latest product information and learn about international market trends.
